South Zanesville Fire Department is always accepting applications for volunteers and Part Time Staffing. All volunteer applicants must live within the department’s recruitment district shown here. All applications outside of the departments recruitment district will be reviewed on a case by case basis.
Volunteers must meet the following requirements:
-Be 18 years of age or older, OR 17 if you are a high school senior. (Individuals that are 17 years of age may take a fire certification class if they are a high school senior, but will not be officially certified until their 18th birthday)
-Have a high school diploma/GED or be a senior in high school
-Be able to pass a background check and physical examination
-Meet the department’s residency requirements
